Testimonials
Brian began his practice of bodywork in 2006, with a year-long 720 hour program at National Holistic Institute in Emeryville CA, and completed internship with an integrative Functional Rehabilitation clinic, focusing on myofascial release techniques and frequency specific microcurrent. He is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Hawai'i, and practices Structural Bodywork using a combination of manual and movement techniques, acupuncture and frequency-specific microcurrent. He believes that when we ease our pain and restriction, we come closer to living our reality as a direct experience, which enriches everything we choose to do.

Born in Berkeley CA, Brian was fortunate to begin rock climbing at an early age, cultivating an appreciation of 3-dimensional movement in connection with the natural environment.  Rock Climbing full-time through his late teens and early twenties and working as a route-setter living between the Bay Area and the Sierra Nevada mountains, he began to recognize that pain, injuries and the process of healing are an integral part of the human condition, and our somatic awareness is crucial to our connection with our environment.  This led naturally to the study of bodywork and simple, minimally-invasive healing modalities which can help people keep moving. He found that the human form can be elusive and complex, so he continued to study various musculoskeletal and energetic techniques including Tui Na (Chinese medical massage), QiGong Therapy, and in depth study and application of Anatomy Trains Fascial Meridian system.  He attended the the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, year-round from 2007-2010, graduating with a Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Brian moved to O'ahu in early 2011 with his partner Ashley, having developed a deep appreciation of the island's natural environment, as well as the humble and wise island culture.  Brian has maintained a daily Qi Gong movement and meditation practice for many years now, as well as rock climbing, surfing, and working as a Tandem Instructor at Skydive Hawai'i where he has taken thousands of visitors and locals on their first jumps.  He finds that peoples' first jump can be a valuable somatic experience which helps one face (and feel) their fears, and tune-in to the present moment if they choose to approach it that way.

Brian continues to study and attend courses, including recent structural bodywork classes in Hawai'i and Seattle with Thomas Myers of Anatomy Trains, who presents the most up-to-date research and concepts of structural bodywork, Structural Integration, fascial function and Spatial Medicine.  He appreciates that he has the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life, from kids to 97 year olds, professional and recreational surfers and climbers, skydivers, farmers, dancers, meditators and people simply looking to be free from pain.
